With a few (albeit notable) exceptions, I charge hourly rates for all hair and makeup services—regardless of occasion, desired look, location, gender, etc. Here’s why.

RESPECTING MY TIME AND YOURS

Some looks are naturally more elaborate and take longer to create. A full-on editorial look, for example, will likely cost more than a clean “no-makeup makeup” application because it requires more time and detail.

That said, time isn’t only about the makeup itself. A client could arrive late to the venue, need extra skin prep and care, change their mind about the final look, or decide to keep me around if they want touch-ups throughout the day. These things can make even a simple look take longer than expected!

In many industries, services and products marketed toward women and fems tend to cost more, even when they’re functionally the same. There are also assumptions about what kind of hair/makeup women and men prefer to wear. Everyone else is left out of the equation. This is an old-fashioned way of thinking about makeup and “beauty,” and I’m not here for it.

On top of that, there's often an unspoken (or very spoken) upcharge for weddings, just because… well, it's a wedding. Special events are already expensive enough. (My husband and I DIY’ed our own wedding, so trust me, I get it!)

One rate. All faces. All occasions. You book the time you need and we make it count.

those exceptions though…

There are special cases (longer-term contracts, commercial/theatrical work, high-travel-demand events, etc.) that may require a custom quote or flat rate. I’ll always be transparent about those details ahead of time.

  • From natural “no-makeup” looks to full glam transformations, I offer on-location hair and makeup styling for everyday sessions, photo shoots, weddings, events, and everything in between. You’re not paying for a “type” of look; you’re paying for the time, care, and artistry it takes to bring your vision to life.

    Half- and full-day rates offer a slight discount for longer bookings and are ideal for on-set work, event coverage, or when you want me available for touch-ups and look changes.

  • Airbrush makeup is a luxury service because of the amazing results and the advanced skill and tools required. It’s an investment in flawless, long-lasting perfection. It requires specialized equipment and products to create that impeccable finish that lasts all day and looks incredible in photos. The added cost reflects this premium service and technology.

    This service is perfect for weddings, special (all-day) events, outdoor occasions, and HD video/photography. Half- and full-day rates offer a slight discount for longer bookings and are ideal for on-set work, event coverage, or when you want me available for touch-ups and look changes.

  • For film, theater, editorial, live performance, or other creative productions, I offer full design services—including initial concept development, continuity planning, and on-set support.

    Rates are based on various factors including scope, deliverables, production schedule, and budget. Let’s chat and build something custom together.

  • Whether you're looking for styled theatrical wigs, drag looks, scary-good Halloween hair, or a fully custom build from scratch, I offer both wig fabrication and styling services.

    All wig work is billed hourly, plus the cost of materials, which will always be discussed and approved in advance.

    💰 Rates

    • Wig Styling: $75/hour

    • Custom Wig Making: $125/hour

    • Materials: Billed separately based on project needs

    🧵 Wig services may include sourcing, ventilation, dyeing, lacework, cutting, and styling. A consultation is required before beginning any custom build.

  • To keep things fair, respectful, and sustainable for both of us, certain circumstances may incur additional fees. I’ll always communicate and confirm these details with you before your booking is finalized.

    📍 Travel Fee

    For bookings more than 15 miles from New York City, a travel fee will be added. This may include mileage, tolls, parking, and (if needed) overnight accommodations.

    🌙 Early Morning / Late Night Fee – $100

    An additional fee applies to bookings that begin between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM. These hours require extra scheduling consideration and preparation.

    🎉 Holiday Fee – 25% Upcharge

    Bookings scheduled on major holidays (e.g. New Year’s Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.) include a 25% service upcharge.

    ⚡ Last-Minute Booking Fee – 15% Upcharge

    For urgent bookings made within 48 hours of the intended start time, a 15% fee will be added to the total. This covers the extra preparation, scheduling, and communication needed to make it happen on short notice.

    🎭 Wig Rush Fee – 15% Upcharge

    Any wig that needs to be completed with less than 2 weeks' notice may incur a 15% rush fee. I reserve the right to decline rush requests if the timeline compromises quality or feasibility.
